福井県 – Narcissus of Fukui Prefecture
The Fukui Prefecture where Dinosaurs once roamed but today where the Narcissus blooms throughout the region. For all our friends in Fukui. What a beautiful home you have.
宮城県 – Miyagi’s Bush Clover
The Miyagi prefecture is considered one of the three most scenic views of Japan and the Bush Clover is their chosen prefecture flower. This quilt was designed for the people of Miyagi.
愛媛県 – Ehime ‘s Satsuma Mandarin
Located on the island of Shikoku, Ehime Prefecture is another of Japan’s popular tourist destination. It is also the leading producers of mandarin oranges. A design of mandarin oranges for our friends of Ehime.
富山県Toyama Prefecture – Tulips
Toyama Prefecture is located at the center of Japan and is appropriately known as the gateway of the Sea of Japan. In Toyama the tulips blooms reveal their beautiful colors in spring.
鹿児島県Kagoshima Prefecture – Rhododendron kiusianum)
Known as the gateway to Japan because of it’s most southern location in Kyushu Kagoshima Prefecture is also home to the small leaf Azalea.
和歌山県Wakayama Prefecture – Ume Blossom
Wakayama Prefecture borders Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Mie and is very close to the Kasai International Airport. Known for it’s Mandarin Oranges and especially the Ume it also borders the Pacific Ocean. Designed by John Serrao 45″ x 45″

Congratulations to the Poakalani Ohana Quilters in Japan
It was an amazing show. 63 quilts in which 22 were new wall hangings and 1 large size quilt at their first showing. We are happy that the tradition of Hawaiian quilting will continue with these 22 quilting teachers in Japan. I hope to post more of these awesome quilts soon.
