Quilters are comfortable spending hours in a fabric shop trying to choose that perfect fabric for their next quilt. Many times we leave the shop not with the fabric we wanted but fabric for future projects because we know, as quilters in buying the perfect fabric…”color” does matter. That perfect hue will either make your design pop or its sent to the UFO closet for another day.
Choosing the color for the Ulu quilt wasn’t difficult because the Ulu in nature is green, so we browsed the internet and we were able to purchase the fabric on line. Pat located the green fabric for the design as well as an off-white(Bone) for the background fabric. Jenn was able to locate the background quilt fabric. We decided to go with a more New England print fabric to bring into the quilt’s story the missionary women of New England teaching the women of Hawaii the art of quilting.
