Even with the Shut-Down and the loss of our Quilting Class venue I’m happy to announce that our quilters continued to quilt and sew. Some quilters found that the quilting helped them during the long lock-down while other quilters reached out to each other and even gathered in small numbers for friendship and quilting. Many of them built stronger bonds among each other and are now more family then friends. I’m so blessed to part of this amazing quilting family where caring and love still blooms with every quilting stitch.
So on behalf of the Poakalani Hawaiian Quilting Family I would like to invite all of you to the Honolulu Festival March 11 & 12. Let’s celebrate friendship and family but most we’d like to share with all of you over 30 Hawaiian Quilts of various sizes, 20 made during the Covid Lockdown. Hand quilted with the quilters loving hands, let us amaze you with the beauty and tradition of our islands through the eyes of the quilters in the unique artistry of their Hawaiian Quilts. It’s going to be an amazing show.
