Mea Ai O Ke Kai

The coral reef was home to many species of fish especially the He’e and Uhu(Parrot Fish) Unfortunately it was also an easy food source for the hungry Hawaiians.  This quilt was designed for those days of spear fishing among the many coral reefs of the Hawaiian Islands. 45″ x 45″  Designed by John Serrao Personal Design.

No Class June 9 – Kamehameha Day Parade

May 24, 2018May 24, 2018
Please mark your calendars and we'll see everyone back at class on June 16.  Just a side note.  When anyone asked where our quilting classes are held my mother Poakalani would tell them, "Look for the Kamehameha Statue... his out stretched arm points to the building we quilt at across the street."  It's true and oh so funny.

Building Renovation Kanaina Building – Update May, 2017

February 19, 2017February 19, 2017
Aloha Everyone, We were all  aware that the Kanaina Building was scheduled for renovations a year ago.  We are now getting closer to the renovation date so we will be on a week to week notice for the quilting classes.  Please keep checking weekly for an updated status.  We will be at the Iolani Palace  through the month of December but haven't gotten any update for the month of January or February.  We have found a temporary home at the Bishop Museum when the renovations begin and will let you know when the time gets closer.. Thank you for your patience.   Cissy
